Late last year, I was commissioned to create a glass sculpture for the 4th Underwater Photography Competition: ’Valerie Taylor Underwater Photography Award for Excellence 2024’.

Note: 2024 was the inaugural ‘Valerie Taylor Underwater Photography Award for Excellence 2024, which was won by Pete McGee.

Valerie Taylor AM presented this award at a prize giving ceremony held at the Manly Art Gallery & Museum, Manly 29 Nov 2024.

The sculpture 'Seaweed Serenade' was inspired by the golden kelp found in the Northern Beaches ocean garden.

A little peak inside one of my pieces that will be on show at @eurobodallabotanicgarden ‘From the Forest’ art exhibition. My inspiration for this year comes from the critically endangered and very colourful Swift Parrot that migrates north from Tassie to our southeast NSW forests each year. (Also, last year's bird of the year (as voted by Bird Life Australa annual pole) 🦜🦜🦜
