Description
I created Coral Bloom as a handcrafted kiln‑formed glass sculpture inspired by the coral forests that flourish along Australia’s coast. My intention was to capture the way coastal light interacts with natural forms, layering clear, white, and coral hues to reflect both delicacy and strength. Each piece is shaped by hand and heat, and the process allows the glass to develop luminous depth, movement, and colour that feels alive.
Working with kiln‑formed glass is always a dialogue between control and surprise. I carefully arrange the layers, but the firing process brings its own character, fusing the colours into something unique every time. That unpredictability is part of the beauty — no two sculptures are ever identical, and each carries its own personality. Coral Bloom embodies this individuality, making it a one‑of‑a‑kind artwork treasured for its uniqueness.
I see Coral Bloom as more than décor. It tells a story in glass, inviting serenity and connection. Its natural palette brings warmth to interiors, whether styled as a centerpiece in a living room, displayed in a curated collection, or offered as a thoughtful gift. Collectors and design lovers appreciate its expressive qualities, while homeowners enjoy the way it elevates a space with coastal charm.
For me, Coral Bloom celebrates slow craft and the expressive potential of kiln‑formed glass. It is a sculpture that honours the rhythm of nature and the artistry of handmade design. Every curve and contour reflects the coastal landscapes that inspire me, and every finished piece carries the essence of Australia’s coastal beauty. Coral Bloom is a luminous treasure, designed to spark conversation, bring joy, and connect interiors with the natural world.
